VICTORIA GIN BC, Vancouver Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer VICTORIA DISTILLERS
Kick off the Canada Day long weekend with the new edition of Vancover Island's award-winning Victoria Gin. Clear and colourless. Intense, fairly spicy, coriander-tinged, gently honeyed, lavendar star anise and juniper aromatics. Very dry, bright, spicy, fairly intense, slightly woodsy, spearminty, juniper-tinged flavours with a faintly peppery finish with hints of rose petal and licorice. This new Batch #147 has 42.5% alcohol. Not quite up to the previous release (cspc 118737 at $48.95) which was very harmonious with 45% alcohol (Batch #141) and was made in small quantities on Vancouver Island (distilled from 10 botanicals which are all natural and wild gathered).
