VINTNERS BLEND PETITE SIRAH 2009 California
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer RAVENSWOOD
Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plummy-cherry nose with some vanilla notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, gently extracty, spicy, ripe cherry flavours with a lingering, slightly cedary, vanilla tinged finish. Decent but not quite up to the recommended 2007 (**/**+) released on August 7, 2010 at $17.95. I have trouble understanding the 91-point score quoted in the Vintages Catalogue and the price increase as the average price in the US is only $10 (excluding sales tax). CSPC 161554
