Mountain Road’s Vidal Icewine is made from 21-year-old vines on owner Steve Kocsis’ estate vineyard. Although Kocsis worked as a grape grower, selling his wares to other wineries, he has been making wines since establishing the vineyard in 1981. He decided in 1999 to open his own winery, Mountain Road, and this wine was the first official release. It won a Bronze Medal at the 2002 All Canadian Wine Championship in Windsor, Ontario. |
