The 2003 vintage was Coyote’s Run’s first, the winery having opened officially in May 2004. The grapes for all their wines, not just their Icewines, come from their own property, just outside of St. David’s, and are all hand harvested. Their winemaker is David Sheppard, formerly of Inniskillin. Tasting note: Medium deep yellow gold with aromas of sweet pear, apple sauce with cinnamon and citrus. Sweet, round and ripe with a good acid for balance. Medium full-bodied with a lingering finish. (Vintages panel, July 2004) |
