VIDAL ICEWINE 2004 VQA Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario |

CHÂTEAU DES CHARMES |
A **+ Silver Medal winner in the 2006 Canadian Wine Challenge and is Recommended. (the world’s largest, single vintage, comparative blind icewine judging). My notes read: Medium yellow colour. Spicy, bright, honeyed, baked apple and caramel nose. Attractive, gently spicy, honeyed, rose hip and ripe apple purée flavours with an elegant finish. Not overly viscous or complex - just pretty. |

This is a classic Icewine from one of Niagara's most esteemed producers. Wine writer Anthony Gismondi (www.gismondionwine.com, June 2006) awarded this rich and elegant wine 92 points. Intense and well-structured it's packed with \"...lots of marmalade, red apple, spicy apricot, nectarine skin flavours with a long fruity finish…\" |
