| The LCBO refused to allow the accredited wine reviewers to taste this March 16 release. Assessed in a comparative blind tasting of 14 red icewines at the 2019 Ontario Wine Awards. This was our sole GOLD medal winner! Bright medium red colour. Very attractive, sweet, spicy, vibrant, honeyed, ripe, raspberry-tinged, red and black cherry purée nose. Sweet but balanced, medium bodied, harmonious, spicy, honeyed, ripe strawberry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, bright, refreshing finish. Very tasty and ready-to-drink. Has 11% alcohol and 223 g/L residual sugar with lot number 09171 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 91-points / BEST BUY - Spicy, minerally, strawberry puree bouquet with a honeyed note; medium-bodied, sweet, honeyed strawberry flavours with balancing acidity; not cloying with a tannic uptick on the finish. |

| TASTING NOTE: Forget about your typical, gold-shaded icewine. This one has a vibrant raspberry glow and a very singular nose - ripe field strawberry, freshly cracked black pepper and a hint of green bell pepper. It flows on the palate in a luscious nectar bursting with ripened sweet strawberry and maraschino cherry flavours lifted with balancing rhubarb tartness and piquant peppercorn notes trailing into the endlessly delicious finish.
