| Bright medium light straw colour. Intense, attractive, sweet, honeyed, spicy, apricot-apple purée nose. Gently sweet medium bodied, quite well structured, very spicy, honeyed, ripe apple purée flavours with a lingering, fairly effervescent finish. The icewine dosage displaces all of the Chardonnay-Vidal character in this tasty, crowd-pleasing, “Blanc de Blanc”. If simply labeled “Icewine Dosage” this bubbly which happens to be made in the classic Champagne method would become an easily recognizable, well-priced winner. Has 13% alcohol and 21 g/L residual sugar. Try very well chilled with appetizers, dessert and Sunday brunch. |

| TASTING NOTE: The G. Marquis The Silver Line Blanc de Blancs Sparkling is great value, offering complex, layered notes of yeast, nut, apple, honey, peach, apricot and toast. There's a lovely sweetness on the palate from the Icewine dosage. Very nice. Great as an appetizer or as a refined palate-cleanser throughout any meal. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2018) |
