This tasting note is actually for the 1998 presented! Bright deep lemon yellow. Maturing nicely. Ripe, topical pineapple aroma with complex crème brulée, gentle evergreen spruce gum spiciness. Full bodied, rich texture. Very sweet, with firm, sourish acid on the finish. Long lemony, pineapple finish. (MT - 89) Medium light gold colour. First bottle was musty. Very slightly musty, fairly sweet, marmalade nose. Very viscous, sweet, but still balanced, slightly musty, tangy, ripe baked apple flavours with a lingering finish. (83/84 - Canadian Wine Award 2003) Medium yellow colour. Sweetish cocnut, ripe apricot purée and vanilla cream nose. Viscous, rather rich, sweet, well balanced, honeyed, ripe apricot fruit flavours with good acidity. (89/89 B+ - Canadian International Wine Challenge 2003) |
