Deep orange yellow colour. Sweet caramel nose with some corn syrup notes. Very sweet, medium to medium-full bodied, fairly spicy, corn syrup flavours with a lingering, caramel-driven finish. TASTING NOTE: Burnished gold with coppery highlights. Lifted sensuous tropical aromas, glazed fruits and spices, mango powder and candy. Mouthcoating intensity of sweet juicy fruit flavours, vanilla pod and a savory element which is wonderful. Wine courses elegantly over the palate, perfectly balanced and poised and ends with a lingering sensational sweet/savoury/acidic kick. Wonderful. Score: Gold Medal (International Wine & Spirit Competition, London, UK, 2010) |
