Rather deep golden yellow colour. Sweet, somewhat citric, fairly pungent cooked ripe pear nose with some butterscotch and zest of lemon. Very sweet, attractive, creamy, soft, ripe pear flavours with some butterscotch, brown sugar and caramel on the finish. Quite delicious and ready to sip. |

Tasting note: A classic, with intense, opulent, ripe pineapple, honey, tangerine and light tea notes. Very sweet with some baby fat, yet very polished and almost delicate on the palate. Good acidity carrying the finish to excellent length, but not as vibrant as some vintages. Should age well for five years or more, but enjoyable now as well. Among the most elegant and expensive in Ontario. Best now to 2004. Score — 92. (David Lawrason, Wine Access, Oct. 2000) |
