Alas, the single bottle half-bottle presented in the lab was empty. Here is Julian Hitner’s note: Starbright, light yellow-lime colour. Intense candle wax at the outset, with enticing scents of dried nuts, orange and apricot peel, light lemon, and spice. Clean, with light, pleasant fruit, balanced acidity, and a hint of dried sweet pistachios on the finish. Decent, balanced icewine, though fairly simplistic (and a little dry) if you ask me. Tolerably priced. |

TASTING NOTE: ... This is solid, clean and very typical, with very ripe peach apricot fruit, toffee, spearmint and tea undertones. Medium full bodied, fairly thick and sweet but gentle as well. Excellent length. Score - 89. (David Lawrason, Wine Access 'First In Line EReport', March 17, 2007) |
