RIESLING ICEWINE 2004 VQA Niagara Peninsula |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
Cave Spring |
Fairly deep yellow colour. Complex, intense, very sweet, marmalade-lemon drop candy nose with some caramel notes. Solid, sweet but balanced, rich, viscous, spicy, lemon pie and caramel-vanilla ice cream flavours. Has excellent acidity on the finish that keeps the wine balanced. |

TASTING NOTE: A thick dessert white, this shows concentrated orange marmalade, grape and honey flavors, with a slight burnt edge. It's balanced by a tangy acidity, leaving a clean impression on the long finish. Drink now through 2015. Score - 90. (Bruce Sanderson, www.winespectator.com, June 15, 2006) |
