Medium yellow colour. Very sweet, slightly cooked, vinyl nose. Sweet, creamy but bright, stewed apple purée flavours. Good finish but too viscous and somewhat lacking in acidity. |

Lenko Vineyards was Ontario’s first commercial vineyard (est. 1959) to plant Vitis vinifera vines. Vidal is the only hybrid they grow and is used strictly for making their Icewine. Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2000 All Canadian Wine Championship and a Bronze at the 2000 Intervin International Wine Competition, this is Lenko’s third wine to be released through Vintages — the first two were their Cabernet Rosé (721233) and Meritage (737874) released last month. |
